Keystone Oaks School District
The Keystone Oaks School District was formed in 1965 and serves the communities of Castle Shannon, Dormont and Green Tree. The varsity athletic teams for the 2,175 student school district compete in the PIAA/WPIAL's Class AA. Also, the district currently has three elementary schools, one in each community. They are Fred L. Aiken (Green Tree), Dormont and Myrtle Avenue (Castle Shannon). KO also has a middle school for students in grades 6-8 and a high school for students in grades 9-12.
