For the first time in American history we have four different generations working side-by-side in the workplace. Once upon a time, older workers were the bosses and younger workers did what was asked of them, no questions asked. There were definite rules about how the boss was treated and how younger workers treated older workers. Well this no longer holds true. The roles today are all over the place and the rules are being rewritten on a daily basis.
In the workforce, generational differences can affect everything, including but not limited to recruiting, team building, coping with change, motivating, managing, maintaining and increasing productivity.
